Program Overview
Basketball PEI will be piloting a new
Mini Development Program (MDP) to
Grades 5 & 6 minor basketball players.
This program is open to all
girls and boys looking to develop and enhance their
basketball skills.
Players will train, practice
and compete in a group setting with other participants
looking to develop their basketball and athletic skills
through the direction of elite coaches.
The training sessions will focus on
the important fundamentals of the game, such as; dribbling,
passing, shooting and defense.
An emphasis will be placed on
the development of the ABC’s of the game; Agility, Balance,
Coordination and Speed.
By participating in the Mini
Development Program, players will become better players,
faster decision makers, stronger team leaders, and greater
students of the game.
The MDP is a great
stepping stone to prepare athletes for all future basketball
participation.
